Have team trained on incident command. There is a free course
through
www.FEMA.gov . It is IS-700
NIMS and can be done on the computer.
If your decon tent takes more than 30 minutes to set up, have it
set up
the night before the training session.
Have all your decon supplies available at the training for team
members
to visualize, handle and ask questions about.
Have your Incident Command schematic completed. Place people
where
they
have the most experience and are needed. You do not have to fill
every
slot on the OSU form, you can specialize it to your facility
Let team members know what their role is and what they are
responsible
for before the training. You can put all the info on cards for
them to
reference.
Have medical evaluations done before training.
Have a copy of your disaster plan available for team members to
